I have to disagree with you on the statement about confusing children. I think the adults would be more confused than the child. The child will learn the name from the beginning, so I don't think it would confuse him/her. I don't think the spellings are that off the wall, not like some name spellings I've seen that I can't even pronounce.
I will definately not use the following spelling for girls...
Kiley Jay (the spellings are too boyish)
Ray (the y in Ray is too boyish)
We've decided on this spelling for our baby girls...
Kiely Jae (pronounced Kylee Jay)
Ally Rae (pronounced Alley Ray)
