Question Am I all alone?

Oh look, I’m the only one of the web who has been trying for 6+ months. Yay me.

So, my husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for 9 months now. I am 29, he is 30. I’ve recently begun seeing an acupuncturist for fertility assistance. It has been 3 months since my first treatment and, well…I’m obviously not pregnant yet. However, I feel better than I have in ages and I’m actually sleeping, which is fabulous.

At the beginning of the year, we are going to finally talk to my ob/gyn about being officially tested to see what is going on and go from there. I already know that I have hypothyroidism, which doesn’t help conception.

Does anyone else have hypothyroidism and had difficulties getting pregnant?
What questions should I ask the doctor?

I understand how you are feeling and I know you must be starting to wonder when you are ever going to get pregnant!!
All of my friends would "think" about getting pregnant and then POOF pregnant the very next month!
So very annoying.
So very disheartening!!
It took me 2 1/2 years to get pregnant with my son Noah.
It took me 10 months to get pregnant with my daughter Abby.
So, I know how hard it can be month after month after month to not get that beautiful BFP but hang in there!!
What I did:
I ended up using Soy Isoflavones TwoWeekWAIT.com - TTC Trends Newsletter - January 2006cd1-cd5
(I got pregnant on Soy Isoflavones the first month trying!! I also took them at night because they can cause headaches)
I also used pre-seed Pre-Seed Product Reviewto help those swimmers get to where they needed to be.
PLUS I took B6 Vitamin B6: How it benefits you during pregnancy | BabyCenter to help lengthen my lp. (it was too short)
Have you checked out fertility friend?
Are you charting?

Red face Re: Am I all alone?

My husband and I are trying for our 2nd child. We will be married 7 years in March '09. It took us 8 months to get pregnant with our first child a boy. This time it is the 9th month and still not pregnant. I took bc pill for 18 mths before trying first time. This time was on them for 3.5 years. So sometimes if you have been on the bc pill you have to wait for your system to just clear. I'm not giving up yet!

No your not all alone. my husband and I have been trying for over a year and have not had any luck yet. My first husband and I tried for about 8 months and I finally got pregnant. About 3 years ago when I first started sleeping with my (now) husband I was late and started feaking out. Thinking the whole time I wasn't ready for another child, now I would give anything to have actually been pregnant at that time. My husband is 37 and I am 28. My daughter is 8. I am not getting any younger and my husband isn't either. I want another child and would love to give my husband his own child. I haven't went to a specialist yet but I guess that should be my next step.

My partner and I have been trying for 7 months now, we fell straight away with our first, a boy who is now almost 17months old. So we cant believe we are not pregnant again. Wondering if it is an age thing with my partner who is 36, although they do say Men are fertile longer than women....... It is really frustrating isnt it?! Especially when you have tried everything! Our next step may be the doctors aswell, but then maybe we should just thank our lucky stars we have a beautiful boy already!! Not sure if I can forget about having another one though............

No! You are not alone. My husband and I have been trying for 9 months now also. I am 33, he is 25. I am re-married and have a 6 year old from my first marriage. My husband already has been tested and he is fine. Which means I am the problem, great! I am going to start using those ovulation kits this month. I have seen some mention of Robitussin, how do you take it? Good luck!

Not alone at all! There could be many reasons why you're not getting pregnant. Have you tried getting the ovulation kits? One of my friends bought one and used the strips every day for a month, and according to the results, she was never ovulating. She went to the doctor who confirmed those results, gave her a shot, and now she's pregnant! Good luck!
