8w1d ultrasound today!!!

Ladies,

I don't know whether I'm more excited or nervous, happy or scared. We had an u/s at 5w1d, just to ensure everything was where it was supposed to be. Although it was too early to see the baby, we did see the gestational sac and the yolk sac. And at that time, I was measuring 5w5d. So fast forward 3 weeks, and I'm just heading out the door in about an hour to go get my 8w1d u/s done. Unfortunately DH is not able to leave work today to come to this one, so I'm going on my own. Hopefully I'll get a picture to bring home to him. I will be sure to update here, as soon as I get home!

Well, the u/s went great! We have one healthy bean, measuring 8w exactly, and the heartbeat was very strong. First she measured it at 178bpm, then the second time was 168bpm. Seeing that little flicker on the screen was truly the most amazing moment of my life! We are having a baby!!!!

GGAAAHHH Im so jealous!!! My first ultrasound is in one week. I want pictures ladies!!!! lol Im so glad things are going well for us!

Thanks MommaKat! I'll try to post the pics tomorrow...I got to take 3 home! Two are quite similar, with the head, body and legs labelled, and the third is kind of like a view from above and you can see the little arm buds.

Well, I'm having no luck getting the pics posted. But I'm no expert on computers lol. Maybe I'll get DH to put them on for me tonight when he gets home.

CONGRATS!! I am so glad that things went well for you! Nothing beats seeing the heartbeat for the first time. Just saw mine on Monday. I could not help but cry and my DH did too. Bless his soul.

Aww - thats so awesome ! i love seeing the ultrasound pix ! congrats on a great ultrasound. i am waiting for my stupid approval from the insurance company before i can even make my appt, so probably within the next couple weeks. the only good thing is the further i am the more i'll see, i guess . anwyay.. congrats and try to get the pic posted if you can - we would love to see it !
