when does your dr check the cervix?
I am 37+ weeks now and I am just curious if anyone else has had their cervix checked and when their dr started to check it?
I asked my dr and she said normally about a week before the due date.
but she said i could have her check at 38 weeks if i want.
i am not sure if i should because i have 4 other kids and no sitter plans until a week later and worried it will 'stir up labor' earlier than i am ready but i am really curious and not sure if it is better to know so i would make alternate 'emergency' plans for a sitter...or should i just let it be and wait...it feels like an eternity to wait a week though with every bit of a pinch on my cervix or braxton hicks
