Ugh.. what a long strange trip its been!
First off - so so so sorry for being MIA for this long and not even updating or anything......... A lot of things have happened, ugh, that I'd rather not think about. Its nothing related to health or the baby or anything *dire*, but I guess now's a good time to spew it.
Hubby got a new job, I was like going nuts trying to work AND be a SAHM (errr... WAHM, whatever). While it is stressful, of course, we found ourselves able to afford a much bigger place with more bedrooms, garage, and all that good stuff. So we went home-searching. We found a place, signed all the papers and set a date to rent a uHAUL to move in.
Well.......... Here's the BAD NEWS: Before the uHAUL move date, hubby and I were slowly moving things via car (in-town), like books, small boxes, kitchen stuff, you know... stuff that would fit in a car.
On February 4th, both of us are driving to the *OLD* place with the uHAUL (while I was following DH via car). I told him I'd stop at the grocery store to grab some papertowels and a shower curtain for one of the bathrooms in the new place. He calls me up and barely making any sense: "our window!!! its broken, TV not here, everything not here..." I was like: "huh? slow down!!! WHAT?? I'll be right there."
I show up....................
OMG, someone broke into our place, took our 42 inch Sharp Aquos, our digital cameras, the HDTV camcorder, my computers, his computer, EVERYTHING. There were dirty muddy footprints on our couch because the couch was right by the window, so whoever climbed in, stepped all over it.
It was... just....... SHOCKING. I felt completely violated. I mean, I still do. Everything we had (of monetary value) was gone. We had the cops show up and they did a report and classified it as "GRAND THEFT" since the valuables taken exceeded over 5grand.
So here I've been without a computer, my family in our new place without EVEN A TV TO WATCH!!!!! Without a camera to take a picture of Mikeyla's first steps or to record her new words...
I'm sorry I've been MIA. We're all good now, computers are the only things we've replaced yet, we have spent too much moving to be able to the rest of things we are missing. (yeah, cops did nothing to help except told us to go around to all the pawn shops and see if we can find out items)... YEAH. RIGHT.
I hope you are all doing well! Mikeyla is doing great, she walked a few weeks ago on her own. I know she's been walking by holding onto furniture, but walking on her own was a FIRST!!!!!!!! Yesterday we celebrated her 1st birthday with a cute little cake and 1 candle. We took pictures of it with a cheap old Sony Cybershot (that the thieves didnt feel like stealing). At least we have THAT.
