Default What are things that worked..

for your kiddos.

Lets share some tips, as I know from just having three of my own, each child is definitely different! LOL

The one thing that has worked the most for my kiddos is getting an actual potty chair and placing it in the play room, where we are most of the day. Then every week I move it back further and further until its back in the bathroom where it belongs. However, with DD#1 I had to move it back to the play room at some point. Mostly when we are watching tv or just playing around, she will sit on the potty chair, or I will read a book to her while she is on the chair to keep her attention and of course LOTS of praise when she does go on the potty chair. We also have all kinds of potty songs I have made up over time to keep their interest in it. LOL Yes I am one of those kinds of moms. So what are your tricks to keep them interested?

I'm wondering about things that work and dont work too! DD is 19 months and maybe its early but, she can already tell me when she's wet, and sometimes hides when she goes poo so, I know she's aware. This is gonna be fun! LOL

Ahhh...I wait until they are ready to mostly do it themselves. I'm not really interested in training myself...lol. My 1st trained at a little over 2.5, my 2nd trained just over 3. Both were fairly painless. My 2nd was harder than my first though. With him, he was just stubborn and would NOT do it until he wanted to. Once that happened it went really well.
