My husband and I have been TTC for 2 1/2 years. We are so excited to be 5 weeks and 2 days pregnant with our first child. We know we have a long road ahead and we are very worried because of our age. I'm 43 and he's 42...this was our 6th IUI with fertility drugs. We are keeping our fingers crossed for a healthy baby in October. :0)

Cool Re: New Here!

I am with you. I am also 45, went to Dr for a cold. Also thought I was going through menopause since I was told so in Aug. Nope found out 11 weeks as a gift for Christmas. My older ones are 24/20. They thinks its the funniest thing since I have a 4 yr old granddaughter who tires me out. So I tell them they can do the playing and field trips with baby and I will do rest

CONGRATULATIONS to you both! I know my mom was also "surprised" by my youngest brother; there's 14 years between us. But oddly enough, I feel closer to him than my other brother where there's only a 5 year difference. I talk to my youngest brother all the time on the phone, and it's fun to hear his stories about middle school and remember what it was like for me. My son also loves having him for an uncle, since they're close in age and can both act goofy together!

I am pregnant with my 4th child, who will be my husband's 3rd and our first together. I will be 44 next month; my husband is 40. Our children are 7, 8, 10, 11 and 13. I thought I would be 9 weeks this week, but when I went for the ultrasound last week, I was told the baby measured 6 weeks (but we saw heartbeat and tech measured it at 111). Dr. thought there was a 90% chance that I ovulated and conceived late in my cycle so we go back Tuesday for another ultrasound and 10% chance that it was smaller because of a problem.

I had regular morning sickness with my first three; it was first thing in the morning, but not a big deal. This time, it has been erratic and I have gone days without it. Tuesday, I threw up twice though and today, I was gagging when I woke up. Hope that is a good sign.

I feel the same, I am 7 weeks pregnant and age 40, I have 2 other children, ages 4 and 3 yrs old. the morning sickness is all day long, my hands and feet are swelling for some reason, I feel very tired, and my whole body aches like I have the flu or something!
