How big were your babies?

How big were your babies or how big do you expect them to be? Birthing a big baby can be more difficult than a small one. Do you have any advice?

I had big babies.

Owen was 9lbs. 5oz. and 22 in. long (10 days early)
Davis was 8lbs. 4oz. and 21 1/2 in. long
Ali was 8lbs. 12oz. 21 1/2 long (but she was also 3 weeks early)

They all started out big, and have not stopped growing!

My babies were pretty big as well.

Hailey was 5 lbs 10.8 oz...She was born at 33 weeks. (7 weeks early) She was predicted to be 10+ pounds.

John was 8 lbs 10 oz. and he was born at 36.5 weeks (3.5 weeks early) He was also predicted to be over 10 pounds.

Sean was born @ 40 weeks 9lbs 8oz
Molly-Fae was about 37 weeks 7lbs 14oz

Danika was born at 31 weeks - 3lbs 2oz, 15in.
Josiah was born at 28 weeks - 2lbs 15oz, 19in.

My daughter was born @ 38 weeks & weighed 8lbs. 2oz.

My 3 sons were all big babies:

J - 9lbs. 4 oz.
T - 8 lbs. 13 oz.
G - 8 lbs. 6 oz.

My son, Corban was born at 39 weeks and was just 6lbs 4oz so I can't really speak to whether big babies are harder to birth. But I would suspect it's harder to get a bigger baby out. My midwife predicted my son would be on the smaller side, she said that because Asian babies are usually smaller (I took it with a grain of salt since I am caucasion and my husband is Indian so technically our son is only half "Asian")

That said, my advice for anyone preparing for birthing is to do you pelvic floor exercises and continue doing exercise throughout your pregnancy because the better shape you are in the easier it usually is.
