The RH factor should not play a problem unless there was a pregnancy before your husbands that you built up antibodies with. I am RH- and so is my husband so I never get the shot since we can't have any positive children. The problem comes in when the woman is RH- and the father of the baby is RH+ and the baby is RH+....My mother had 3 m/c and she has the RH- and dad is RH+ - back then they gave it after the pregnancy and or m/c now they give the shots during pregnancy.
My mother was told it was not due to the RH factor for her m/c's and all 3 m/c's happened to be boys too. With her history I was worried, but I have gone on and had 5 successful pregnancies, 1 m/c and am 34 wks along with #6. I think in the end it is something wrong with the baby and it can't continue to grow. Although I have only had 1 m/c I was overly cautious when I found out I was expecting again especially since I did not actually m/c untill @12wks and had found out that the baby had died at 8 1/2 weeks along.
Sorry so long winded - I just hope the doctors aren't causing further stress for an already stressful situation.

If your mom had lots of losses it could be she had an underlaying medical problem. My mom had losses and I too - I discovered in my 20s that I had Factor V leiden and surprise surprise FVL causes M/C. As a result I take clexane (lovonox) for pregnancy and it makes all the difference. What I am saying - it might be worth asking for some tests.

It doesn't mean that if that happens to your mom would also happen to you. Have a positive outlook in life. You will conceive soon.`
