Emoticon Smile Re: My Second Miscarriage

Thanks for your post ZoeB. My husband and I plan to start trying again this week, after waiting 3 months after my second miscarriage. Your story is encouraging.

I am now 30 weeks pregnant with our son!!! and Im so glad my contraception failed.
I wanted to share my story to show everyone there is hope, Im an example of that.

My thoughts go out to everyone who is going through the pain of a miscarriage, and I hope that your stories end as happily as my own.

Rainbow Re: My Second Miscarriage

Hi everybody , well this is my first time here. It's 5am and I can't sleep. My story is I had a miscarriage on july 7th 2007 and it still hurts. It was my first pregnancy and I felt the happiest I ever have in my life! Although at first I was I had ruined my life I quickly fell in love with this baby growing inside me. My boyfriend was also over joyed and treated me so lovely, it brought us so close. Anyway long story short we lost it. Since then we stopped having sex for a while and I lashed at him a lot but he was a tower of strength and we talked more clearly after about 6 months. Up to that point he had not said much but one day opened up thank god! we started trying last august, not with charts or counting or anything just taking it easy. When nothing happened i started recording my cycle, it's perfect 28 day cycle... i don't want to put stress onto my love but now i'm worrying if i can't get pregnant again, it makes me feel like such a failure. i haven't felt happy in so long. advice? i'm 25, he's 26.

I too had 2 miscarriages, one in May 08 that I needed a d&c for, the baby never formed past 5 weeks and the other 12/20/08 that happened the natural way at 11 weeks! I do have 2 amazing children, and am pregnant again. Due Christmas day! I am only 4weeks 6 days and soo scared, but whats meant to be will be, that is all i can think, I pray for you and for me and for all of us! I have my 1st appt today with my dr and am just hoping things look good so far even though he will not be able to see much! I know I will not relax until this little blessing is born, God willing....good luck to you and all!

Very sorry to hear about your miscarriages. I too just experienced my second miscarriage. A Doula friend of mine told me about this book that I was able to take out at the library. It's called "Miscarriages, Medicine & Miracles: Everything You Need To Know About Miscarriage" by Bruce K. Young, M.D., F.A.C.O.G and Amy Zavatto. It's written in 2008 so it's up to date. I'm very emotional and depressed about my situation but this book is making me feel better...seeing the hopeful side. I recommend everyone that has experienced multiple miscarriages to read the book. There are answers out there!
