Unhappy VBAC or Repeat C-Section?

I had my daughter via C-section a little over four months ago and we just found out we're expecting again. Does this mean I'm definitely going to have to have another C-section or can I at least attempt a VBAC?

I assume you can ask for what you want and it would also depend on your circumstances (reasons for first c-section, etc.).

I heard that most dr.'s and midwives will let you have a VBAC if everthing seems OK with both mom and baby.

When the time comes, let us know what you decided.

Hi! And congrats on your pregnancy! Now, I can't remember for sure about how far after a c-section it should be for a safe VBAC. You should talk to your doctor/midwife about that for sure. I had a c-section and then DS#3 was a surprise baby, but he was 5 years after DS#2 so my VBAC wasn't a real issue. Even with two abdominal surgeries before the c-section. Only problem I had was that when they would do the ultrasound there was this long black line in the way of looking at the baby LOL Be sure to ask and good luck! I had natural with DS#1, c-section with DS#2 and VBAC with DS#3. But they were all spread out a bit Anyhoo, let us know how it goes! Crossing my fingers for you!
Peace!
